Chemonics International, a global consulting and international development firm, seeks an Organizational Development Specialist for the USAID-funded Project Building Local Capacity for Development (BLCD), based in Baku, Azerbaijan
Responsibilities: The goal of the BLCD project is to assist selected Azerbaijani civil society organizations with a combination of technical assistance, training, logistics, commodity procurement and grants in order increase the capacity of civil society organizations to fulfil their functions as reliable partners to the Government of Azerbaijan.
Develop capacity-building tools and curriculum for target CSOs to strengthen their organizational development and technical skills in areas including advocacy, constituent outreach, counterpart engagement, coalition building, fundraising, and performance monitoring.
Provide technical assistance and mentorship to CSO partners and grantees.
Collaborate with identified short-term consultants.
Support project leadership to implement activities.
Contribute to development of annual project work plan and other programmatic planning documents.
Contribute to performance management plan.
Complete all required periodic reports and supplemental requests for information.
Bachelor's degree is required.
Minimum 5 years of proven work experience designing and implementing technical assistance in the areas of, organizational development, civil society strengthening and/ or human resources management preferred.
Experience working on USAID or other international donor experience preferred.
Strong writing skills in Azerbaijani and English.
This assignment will be for three month with possible extension, beginning on or around February 23, 2015.
